Goal of Education
The Gifu College of Nursing turns out professionals who have a profound sense of responsibility and are thus able to continually bring creative solutions to the difficulties and challenges patients and others face. This is in addition to the foundational concepts and skills they need to care for people in a practical sense.
Our programs are therefore designed to provide students with:
1.The foundational skills and knowledge they heed to be capable generalists in the nursing field
2.A profound understanding of the human condition along with good decision-making skills
3.The ability to solve the fundamental problems their patients face, along with those found in their families and the wider community, to contribute to better health overall
4.The ability to work with other professionals and community members in the healthcare, medical, social services, and related fields
5.A deep curiosity in nursing research grounded in ongoing practical study, with the basic skills needed to contribute to everyday innovations in their fields
In short, our undergraduate program gives students the essential tools to succeed in the nursing professions. Upon graduation, they are awarded a bachelor's degree in nursing, which allows them to sit for the qualifying national exam to become a public health or hospital nurse. Students who choose specific courses will also be prepared to sit for the qualifying national exams to become midwives or type-one school nurses. Our graduates are given all the tools they need to immediately take these exams and begin work in practical nursing settings.
