Mission Statement

Gifu College of Nursing is a prefectural higher educational institution. Regarding the tasks of health maintenance, medical care, and welfare fields in Gifu Prefecture, the faculty teaches creative problem-solving methods from a theoretical background that is based on research, and educates students to be the promoter for reform. In order to achieve these aims, the College pursues an ideal health care model that fits the local culture and lifestyle, and performs vigorous research activities concerning nursing practice. Based on research findings, the College provides learning activities that are rich with practical and applied educational materials. Nursing is a discipline that requires continuous professionalism of nurses throughout their life. The College guides the students to this professionalism through its unique educational program.
